How to Bid…
- Bidding starts at 8:00 am (EST) on February 5, 2010, and concludes on February 20, 2010 during the Beadling Recognition Banquet, when bidding is formally stopped during the banquet. However, the last day to bid online is Thursday, February 18th at 9:00 pm (EST). Any online bids received after that date and time will not be accepted.
- Send an email to 4beadling@gmail.com which includes the following information:
- Your name, address, cell phone number and email address.
- How you received information about this silent auction (name of friend, Beadling player, Beadling Club, etc)
- The name and number of the item (s) on which you are bidding.
- The amount of your bid. Please be specific on the amount and item.
- You will receive a telephone call to confirm receipt of your bid within 72 hours of sending your email. If not, please resubmit your bid, or call Claudia Steeb at 412-496-5531.
- Bids will be posted for each item (no names, just the amount of the highest bid) at the end of the day on the following dates: February 10, 13, 16, and 19.
- On the day of the Banquet, the “Opening Bid” will be the greater of the Minimum Bid or the highest bid received by email.
- Bidding will continue throughout the banquet until closed at the conclusion of the meal, prior to the guest speaker presentations.
- Items not receiving the Minimum Bid or acceptable bid to the donor may be held back and not awarded at the sole discretion of the Beadling Soccer Club banquet committee and the donor.
- Items will be available for pick-up at the conclusion of the Beadling Banquet. If you are not attending the Banquet, arrangements will be made to deliver your item within 75 miles of downtown Pittsburgh, PA. If your distance is further, the shipping cost will be added to your bid amount.
- Payment will be due at the time of pick-up, and prior to the delivery of any item. Payment will be accepted in cash or by check (cashiers check or money order). If paying by personal check and you are not a member of a Beadling Team, you will also be required to provide a credit card number until your check clears the bank. Checks will be made payable to “Beadling Soccer Club”. Therefore, it is recommended that everyone bring a checkbook to the banquet. Non-payment will enable the Beadling Soccer Club Banquet Committee to award the item to the next highest bidder, at its sole discretion.
Proceeds from the Silent Auction will be used to provide training opportunities and towards the development of a new Beadling Field.
