2007 State Cup Champions
Beadling Inferno, U15 Girls, coached by Erik Duffy is one of six Beadling teams awarded the State Cup for PA WEST. The Inferno achieved the biggest margin of victory, game-to-game by any team, boys or girls, in this year's state cup scoring 29 goals with only 3 against during their five-game series. Also leading the way to the Regional Playoffs in Portland, Maine, June 28-July 4th, 2007 is the State Champion U18 Boys team that topped STM 3-2 in the final round of competition. Beadling U13, U14, U16, and U18 girls teams also entered the championship circle and move on to regionals.
Altogether 12 Beadling teams entered the semi-final matches on Saturday, June 2nd. Besides the U18 boys and 5 girls' teams who went the distance, four boys teams, U12, U14, U15, and U17 finished as Finalists in the Sunday matches. Congratulations to all the Beadling players and coaches for another successful State Cup weekend!
The Beadling Soccer Club sent eleven US Youth Soccer Pennsylvania West State Champions to Virginia Beach, Va., for the US Youth Soccer Region I Championships in July 2006. The Under-15 Girls team was set to defend its 2005 regional title while the Beadling Centennials Under-19 Girls were there with eight straight state championships to their credit.
The Centennials became the first girls’ team to win the Pennsylvania West State Championship every year (1999-2006). The Beadling Soccer Club is the oldest continually running soccer club in the United States.
